student award for excellence in technical education (aete)

The Central Iowa Chapter of the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) invites students to apply for our annual award recognizing excellence in technical education.

Purpose: To recognize the value of construction specifications, technical expertise and material research in the design and construction of the built environment.  

Successful applicants will demonstrate evidence of rigorous engagement with technical topics associated with building materials, assemblies, products, systems, and/or documentation, along with the ability to describe the anticipated role of technical expertise in their future career plans. The 2026 AETE winner will receive a $1500 award and an invitation to be recognized at a fall 2026 chapter meeting.
