The Central Iowa Chapter will be holding our annual chapter elections at our February chapter meeting. The election will be for the positions of Secretary, VP Industry, and President Elect. Nominations are now open. If you would like to nominate someone or are interested in serving on the Board, be sure to contact any of the current Board members prior to our next Board meeting on February 6th. The slate of candidates will be announced in the February newsletter.

CSI (National) will also be conducting electronic elections in February. Please remember to verify that CSI has your current email address on file. You can review your information and update your contact information online at www.csinet.org or by contacting CSI Member Services at 1-800-689-2900. CSI BOGO Update: Since the Buy One Give One (CSI BOGO) campaign launched, 88 CSI BOGO certificates have been sent to CSI members nationally who’ve recruited new members! Members earn a CSI BOGO certificate and 25 CSI Bucks for every professional member you recruit.

Our thanks to Joy Davis, of CSI, for her valuable and informative presentation on social media at our annual joint December meeting with the ASHRAE and SMACNA folks. Our January meeting will discuss the emerging International Green Construction Code (IgCC). This presentation will give an overview of the current status of implementation and provide a discussion of the function and technical provisions of the IcCC.
